Silky, bright and intense but tightly wound, offering terrific intensity to the red cherry and rose petal flavors. Finishes juicy and very long, but I find this hard to taste today owing to its strong oak element. This grand cru will merit a higher score if the wood harmonizes with the wine’s perfumed fruits and flowers.”

This too possesses a caressing mouthfeel as there is an abundance of dry extract that buffers the moderately firm tannins on the dusty and superbly persistent finale. This is notably finer than the Charmes but not more complex.”
