Plush and fine-grained on entry, then sappy and salty in the middle palate, displaying almost painful thrust to its brisk yellow fruit and mineral flavors. For all its thickness and solidity, this very long wine’s piquant minerality gives it outstanding verve.”

(89-91) points Vinous: “Bright, light yellow. Aromas of mirabelle and honey are less precise than those of the Chenevottes. Yellow fruit flavors come across as classically dry, with sound supporting acidity, but the finish shows a slight phenolic edge and a hint of warmth in the early going. Colin-Morey did a green harvest here, ultimately making about 47 hectoliters per hectare.”

Sweeter and suppler on entry than the Le Banc and more saline in the middle palate, with a distinctly cool calcaire quality giving it enticing stony lift. Finishes tactile and persistent, with slightly edgy lemony acidity. This gripping Saint-Aubin wine, from 30-year-old vines, is carrying just 12.2% alcohol.”
