95 points View From the Cellar: “The domaine has a couple of different holdings in Bâtard-Montrachet and does not make the assemblage of the different parcels (which are fermented separately) until after the new year, so this example hails from a plot of fifty-plus year-old vines in the sector up above Bienvenues. The wine is stunning in its synthesis of power and elegance in 2014, delivering a superb and still quite youthful bouquet of apple, pear, again, just a touch of orange, spring flowers, a deep base of soil tones and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and youthfully buttoned up behind its fine girdle of acidity, with a great core of pure fruit, superb soil signature, racy acids and outstanding length and grip on the focused and very, very promising finish.”
