Jean Foillard Morgon Cote du Py 2014

93 points Vinous: “Vivid ruby. Vibrant red and dark berry and Asian spice aromas carry a hint of musky earth. Sweet and incisive, offering palate-staining blackberry and boysenberry flavors and a late touch of bitter chocolate. Supple tannins give shape to the mineral-driven, sharply focused finish, which hangs on with excellent tenacity and building sweetness.”

Jean Foillard Morgon Les Charmes Eponym’ 2014
36 bottles available
$39 per bottle

93 points Vinous: “Ruby-red. Vibrant black raspberry, cherry and lavender scents, along with suggestions of star anise, smoky minerals and blood orange. Concentrated yet lithe and precise, offering bitter cherry and red and dark berry flavors enlivened by tangy acidity. Silky tannins shape the finish, which lingers with strong, spicy persistence and resonating florality.”

Jean Foillard Morgon Cuvee 3.14 2014
36 bottles available
$69 per bottle

94 points Vinous: “Deep ruby. Pungent, highly expressive blue fruit, floral pastille and smoky mineral aromas show outstanding clarity and definition, with a hint of licorice in the background. Stains the palate with intense boysenberry, cherry compote and violet flavors that are energized by juicy acidity and a jolt of white pepper. Densely packed but energetic as well, finishing with remarkable vibrancy and lingering blue fruit, spicecake and mineral qualities. A monument of a monumental vintage and structured to age with ease.”
