(93-95) points Wine Advocate: “The 2014 Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru is much more convincing and energetic on the nose compared to the Bienvenue with upfront, flinty scents storming from the glass. The palate has a touch of viscosity on the entry, predicating a powerful and broad shouldered Bâtard that is determined to make an impression, which it does. It is very well balanced, very intense and just a lovely white grand cru Burgundy.”

(92-95) points Burghound: “This is also quite restrained and only aggressive swirling coaxes the citrus-inflected honeysuckle and pear-scented nose to reveal itself. There is excellent mid-palate density to the notably rich and palate staining flavors that possess excellent size, weight and persistence. This is a relatively big and powerful BBM and while it is perhaps slightly less refined than usual this should amply repay extended cellaring.”

(93-95) points Wine Advocate: “The 2014 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru les Folatières (Heritiers de Louis Jadot bottling) comes from the lieu-dit “en la Richard” just 50 to 60 meters from Chevalier-Montrachet. It has a very intense bouquet with citrus fruit, jasmine and cold stone — very classy and focused. The palate is intense from the start with citrus fruit, nutmeg, a touch of ginger and a powerful mid-palate. It fans out beautifully in the mouth, a bravura of a performance!”

92 points Vinous: “Pale yellow-gold. Yellow peach and spicy oak on the nose. Concentrated and nicely delineated, showing excellent thrust and framing lemony acidity to its pear, peach and mineral flavors. Conveys an impression of high-altitude freshness but this is plenty ripe for the year. Finishes rich and long.”
Jadot Puligny Montrachet Les Referts 2014

(90-93) points Burghound: “An attractively expansive and floral-infused nose reflects notes of pear, apple, spice and pain grillé. The mouth feel of the middle weight and more generously proportioned flavors is more refined if less obviously mineral-driven, all wrapped in a caressing, rich, palate coating and well-balanced finale. This is very Puligny and basic character and while it will age it should also be appealing young too.”
