Allen Meadows and other reviewers have bestowed much praise upon the 2015 red Burgundies, and we’re pleased to continue our new release campaign with a small allocation of Domaine Faiveley.
Many collectors are familiar with the reputation of Faiveley’s wines to age into magical bottles, and this domaine should be on your shortlist of producers to target from the five-star vintage.

Nuits Chaignots, Gevrey Combe aux Moines, and Chambolle Combe d’Orveau were all on Burghound’s “Don’t Miss” list of top wines and great values.
Faiveley’s Latricieres Chambertin received his highest rating of all producers in this grand cru.
Clos de Beze is rated high up there too, touching Rousseau’s version that will likely sell for 4 – 5 times the price when it is released later this year.
Since the domaine was founded in 1825, the Faiveley family has dedicated the major part of their resources to buying vineyards situated on the best slopes in Burgundy. They believe in strictly limited yields and carefully controlled production – meticulous methods that allow for wines that mature well. The wines’ complexity and longevity are ensured by the high average age of their vines, and they are outstandingly clean, rich, balanced, and concentrated. Francois Faiveley, who has recently retired, is succeeded by his son Erwan. The change of generation, enhanced by the arrival of Bernard Hervet as Managing Director, has made the business more dynamic.
